Terms of Service
Last updated 14 September 2026
These terms govern your use of sleuthnight.com (the "Site") and the murder mystery party kits, host dashboard, guest links and related materials we sell (the "Service"). By buying or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What you are buying
A Sleuth Night mystery is a digital product. When you buy one you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use that mystery to host private parties for yourself and your guests, as many times as you like. You may print the character cards and Party Pack materials for those parties. You may not resell, publish, sublicense, or publicly perform the mysteries for a fee, or use them to run commercial events, without our written permission.
2. Payments and the merchant of record
Orders are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who is the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment, tax and invoicing, and its Buyer Terms also apply to your order. Prices are shown in US dollars; tax is calculated at checkout based on your location.
3. Refunds
Every mystery comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The full policy is in our Refund Policy.
4. Your account
The host dashboard is accessed with a sign-in link sent to the email address you bought with. Keep that email account secure. Guest links are private URLs; anyone who has a guest link can view that character, so share them only with the people playing.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to harass anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with the Site or other users. Do not attempt to access other hosts' parties or extract our content by automated means.
6. Intellectual property
The mysteries, characters, clue text, artwork, software and branding are owned by Sleuth Night or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, but it is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update mysteries, features and these terms. If a change materially reduces what you bought, you may request a refund under the Refund Policy.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the mystery concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
